Empowerment and Tools Against Breast Cancer

John Stoddard Cancer Center is collaborating with area clinics, local businesses and Valley West Mall to provide information and awareness on breast cancer. Early diagnosis is very important in the fight against cancer and we’d like to arm the women of central Iowa with the tools necessary to fight this disease. Event highlights include:
- First Friend for Life – Learn more about this program aimed at helping women spread the word among friends and family.
- Tomboy Tools – Learn about this unique business selling pink tools exclusively designed for women.
- Mammograms Save Lives – See what you need to know about mammograms and when the right time is to get one.
- Free giveaways – The first 400 visitors to the John Stoddard table will receive a free walking enthusiast kit with a pedometer.
- Learn about some of the great services in the Des Moines area for breast cancer patients.
- A few of the Valley West Mall stores will be on hand with information on store specials and breast cancer related items.
